Customer Solutions Executive

Position Summary:
The successful individual will lead the Customer Solutions (CS) group, which provides project management of orders from quote through field commissioning, technical service and support to internal and external customers as well and performs a customer service role. This key leadership position is both an inward and outward facing role in the SAGE organization and is pivotal in the successful delivery of product to customers.

The position requires both proven leadership capability and a balance of technical skills, project management ability, attention to detail and excellent communication and relationship management capabilities. As well as making key individual contributions, the successful individual will be required to lead and develop the CS group as the business rapidly grows, to deliver excellence in technical and customer service and successful project management. The activities of the CS group include:

0. Project Management for customer orders – involves communication and collaboration internal and external to the organization, development of custom project and production specifications (including wiring diagrams), coordination with subcontractors and other stakeholders, field service, installation and commissioning. Provides key input into new product developments as it relates to integration and installation.

1. Managing the order fulfillment process, including working with sales group to develop quotations, order processing, coordination with production, shipping coordination etc. Proactive seeking out of ways to make this process more effective is required.

2. In collaboration with Sales team, lead and manage projects through bid process.
a. Assist sales team and customers to optimize pricing at design development stage. Draw alternative layouts and provide budget pricing scenarios.
b. Thoroughly review specifications and edit/customize as necessary.
c. During bid process identify and contact contractors (general, glazing & electrical) to communicate information to help them develop their bid.

3. Provide technical services: This includes providing technical advice and support to SAGE sales staff, independent sales reps and customers. Answer CS line calls and provide training as needed. Develop technical bulletins, instructions and guidelines. Actively participate in industry groups developing standards and coordinate testing of the SageGlass® product. Provide input and support product development activities.

4. Develop building energy modeling capability for SAGE. This is a capability that SAGE would like to bring in house to assist the sales group in demonstrating the benefits of SageGlass® product specific to individual projects.

5. Provide samples to sales group.

Requirements:
• 12+ years work experience and track record of successful team and project leadership experience
• Ability to communicate well internally and externally with customers and partners and to build strong relationships.
• Bachelors in Science or Engineering discipline.
• Customer interface / customer service experience or track record in relationship building and management.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to read (or to learn how to read) and understand architectural drawings and specifications.
• Work experience with a technical product / company a plus.
• Experience in glazing industry a definite plus.
• Building product manufacturer or construction company work experience a plus
• International experience is desired.
• Experience with CAD a plus.
• Experience with building modeling a plus. Ability and desire to learn building modeling required.

This position requires a balance of technical skills, project management ability, attention to detail and excellent communication and relationship management capabilities.

Thin Film Process Engineer


Position Summary:
The thin film process engineer holds a central role in the SageGlass® manufacturing process, generating data-driven improvements in quality, throughput and yield while deepening our understanding of crucial thin-film coating and heating processes.

Key responsibilities include:
• Design and analyze statistically sound experiments to improve yield, quality, rate and process understanding
• Develop and maintain quality systems
• Monitor and lead response, as necessary, to ongoing process results and events
• Lead design and implementation of process control and uniformity improvements
• Provide reports on quality, yield, and throughput as required
• Participate in and lead problem-solving teams
• Maintain systematic records of experiments, process modifications, and overall process knowledge

Requirements:
• A four-year degree in engineering or physics or equivalent
• Strong analytical and statistical ability
• Excellent problem solving, creative thinking and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• At least three years of relevant experience

The ideal candidate will also have:
• Excellent knowledge of large area thin film coating technology and equipment
• Experience with heating and thermal treatment of substrates
• Experience with the application and interpretation of thin-film metrology, particularly optical characterization of films and film structures
• Experience with the application of six-sigma and lean methodologies

Process Technicians – Six First- and Second-Shift Positions

You will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks related to electrochromic glass production.  Second shift currently runs from 3:00 pm to 12:30 am Monday through Friday.  First shift currently operates from 6 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.  Pay level starts at $13.75 per hour (higher with experience), plus benefits, paid-time-off, stock options and performance incentive.

SAGE seeks two experienced second shift Vacuum Coater Technicians. These positions are responsible for operating a SageGlass® vacuum coater. Second shift runs from 3pm to 12:30 am, M-F. Hourly wage rate depends on experience, ranging from $13.75 to $19 per hour, plus benefits, paid-time-off, stock options and performance incentive.
